Kathleen and Brandon made us feel at home, and we got fond of their sweet dog, Penny. Breakfast was delicious, and the clean, roomy rooms were comfortable. Liskea is well placed for walking into the city or down to the shore at Salthill. We had a wonderful three-night stay and would come back to Galway and stay here again.
The spot between the city centre and Salthill worked perfectly for us. We were greeted warmly and enjoyed breakfast too. Happy to return next time we're in Galway.
The place itself is lovely, but the host's manner made us feel uncomfortable throughout the stay. She barely spoke to us, despite our paying the usual rate for that night. We mentioned at check-in, late in the evening, that for health reasons we'd prefer a light hot breakfast if possible, and said we could discuss it in the morning. Instead, two fry-ups were put in front of us without asking. They were too heavy, and one was left completely untouched. In our mid-50s, we'd have appreciated a lighter choice. We felt the hospitality was poor, and won't return or recommend Liskea House B&B Galway.
We had a lovely couple of nights in Galway. The rooms were clean, the beds comfortable, and the people were nice. Breakfast was great too.
Wonderful stay, great location, and I slept like a baby.
