Katherine made the stay feel special, with a warm, relaxed welcome and a great sense of humor. The accommodation is in an ideal, handy location. We were sorry to have just the one night, our last stop on a six-week independent trip around the UK and Ireland. We rated all our stays ourselves, and this was one of the few to get an A+. It’s a special part of the world and an experience I wouldn’t want to miss.

The house and our room were beautifully decorated and immaculate. Breakfast had a good spread, from lighter choices to a full meal, with colorful fruit, crunchy granola, fresh bread, and delicious coffee. Katherine was great at balancing privacy with a friendly connection. She gave us a helpful rundown of the town, sights, parking, and other logistics, and we even went over our whole 2+ week itinerary. She reassured us that we’d picked a great route and activities. Communication was easy from the booking emails through texts when we arrived in Ireland, and she had no problem with us checking in a little early so we could rest before dinner. Heidi from the Seattle area loved Katherine and her B&B so much that we’ll get a room ready for her next trip to the States!

We may even be related! Katherine was a wonderful host, with good tips for the local scene, and the house was spotless. Breakfast was beautifully laid out, the gardens were lovely, and we had lively conversations. It was easy to find, in a great location, and just as advertised. Highly recommended.

We’d happily stay here again if we return to Kilkenny. Katherine is a warm, welcoming host, and the breakfast was hearty and delicious. The room was clean and spacious, parking was convenient, and the charming house has a lovely dining room and garden. The town is about a 15-minute easy stroll away. We highly recommend this B&B.

Quiet mornings in the comfortable chairs were such a treat, and the bed was just right, as Goldilocks would say. Our room was spacious but still felt personal. The bathroom was small, exceptionally neat, and well supplied. The towels were wonderfully soft and still absorbent. Katherine is a gracious, kind, engaging and considerate host. She suggested plenty of things to do nearby and happily listened to our daily reports. Breakfast was excellent each morning, and she was understanding about accommodating a dairy allergy. The breakfast room is bright and tidy, and the staff work efficiently with genuine smiles. We’d love to return in nicer weather and enjoy the peaceful garden and its blooms. Even the late October flowers stood out in the drizzle. It’s a real gem for a short visit, and would be very comfortable for a week or more.
