Ray took care of several things for us: he checked us in, carried my bags upstairs, and let us know when breakfast would be served. The place was clean and comfortable, right in the city centre, and breakfast was a nice hot start to the next day. Everyone was friendly, and we'd happily stay again. Thanks!

I couldn't sleep during any of the four nights I was here. The rooms are over a pub with live music that can run late, once from 5pm until 2am, and the walls and floors let a lot of it through. Earplugs and white noise didn't help enough. I hesitated to leave such a low rating since nobody was rude or did anything wrong, and the pub is perfectly entitled to have music. The food was good and fairly priced, but for a hotel it wasn't a good fit for me. My travel agent booked it, so I hadn't realised what to expect. If you want a meal or a lively pub for drinks, this place works well. For a good night's sleep, I'd look elsewhere.

TJ was a funny bartender and gave us excellent service. The Guinness was poured just right, and the pub's seafood chowder and fish and chips were delicious.

We went to Tatler Jacks for dinner while visiting Killarney. The daily special, roast Irish lamb with champ and vegetables, was mine, and my husband chose the fish n chips. Both were cooked well and came in generous portions, and we enjoyed every bite. The staff were lovely and even helped me choose my first Irish whisky from a huge menu. Later the bar filled until there was only standing room, with music starting up. We had a great evening of Irish craic.
