Matt and the team made all nine of us feel welcome during a week of touring the area on our motorbikes. They were wonderful hosts, and the service was fantastic. It’s a fabulous base for seeing the area. Breakfast and dinner were top quality every day and great value. I highly recommend staying here if you want a good base for touring. I’ve been twice with groups and am already thinking about when to bring another one over.

My partner and I have eaten here a few times and always liked it enough to come back. This time I ordered what I thought were gluten-free chicken wings with chips, while my partner had fish and chips. I started feeling extremely sick after eating and have been ill all evening, with unimaginable stomach cramps and nausea. I’m worried about possible cross-contamination and the amount of processed ingredients. This isn’t the first time I’ve eaten here and felt sick afterwards. It’s a shame, because the staff and pub are lovely, but I’m afraid I won’t return for food.

We stopped in twice for dinner and a few pints. The food was Savoy quality at a layman's price, the staff were wonderful and appreciated our custom, and the toilets were spotless. Nearly forgot, the Guinness was like velvet, perfectly poured by a Cork man in a Kerry bar. We’ll definitely be back.

We left completely full, but the dessert menu was too tempting to skip. The meal was lovely and great value, and our waiter gave us some really good recommendations.

The staff are always friendly and happy to talk you through the menu, and the food and beer are both great. It’s a lovely spot to catch a match, just get there early. The old-time atmosphere and interior are part of the charm. I’d recommend it for traditional food or even just a pint of Guinness. It’s about 8-10 minutes from town by car.
