I only found out when I stopped by one day hoping to get a coffee. They told me it hadn’t operated as a hotel for many years and is now a residential centre for refugees, I think. Maybe its status on Google Maps should be updated?

So, so loud. There’s constant inspection, and the manager threatened to take all my food because I hadn’t put my bread in a container. Don’t come here or live in this horrible hotel.
My parents had a great time here for a week, and it was their second visit, which says a lot. I’ve also eaten here several times and the food has always been tasty and good value. It’s dated and a bit tired in places, but that gives it some charm.
The building has lovely character, though the decor could use an update. There’s peeling paint and dusty pelmets, and a couple of our cups were dirty when we sat down for breakfast. The food itself was fine. Friendly, helpful staff made up for the little problems.
It used to have great ambience, food and staff. Sadly, the hotel has gone downhill over the years. The owners seem to have let care and attention slip.
