The portions and quality made the price feel worthwhile, even though this is one of the pricier meals around here. The lamb special came with roast veg that really stood out, and we also had the best non-traditional fish and chips of our trip. I can’t comment on the accommodation, but I could go on about the food.

We’ve travelled all across Ireland, and this was our best meal so far. The Guinness stew, scallops, fish and chips, curry soup and fish chowder were all hits. The Guinness stew was my favourite. Definitely recommend it, 10 out of 10, from a big foodie with a culinary degree.

The fish and chips were fab, and breakfast was great too. We stayed at The Moorings two nights ago, and the room was fabulous, with lovely views, a comfy bed and everything we needed. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the lovely woman from Colorado, who made us feel so welcome. It was a special, delightful stay. Thank you!

The Kerry Cliffs are breathtaking and only a short drive away. We loved our night at The Moorings. The four of us had a spacious, very clean room, and the location is absolutely beautiful. Thanks to the staff and Rene for being so kind and hospitable. We’ll definitely be back!

The John Dory and crab claws were excellent, really fresh and full of flavour. If you’re into seafood, you should eat here and try something from the menu specials board. Couldn’t recommend it enough.
