The rooms were good quality, and the continental breakfast had a nice range of quality food. What really stood out was the staff, who were welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They went out of their way to help us enjoy Sligo, from calling restaurants to get us a reservation to printing scenic drive maps and sharing recommendations. I’d recommend staying here.

I’ve just come back from a short stay and would give this hotel six stars if I could. The room was great, with all the amenities I could ask for, including a safety box, coffee machine, fridge, large bed, and a warm room. The lovely staff were another plus. Check-in starts at 2 pm, and checkout is any time before 12 pm, which is better than most hotels in Sligo Town. There’s a secure car park at the back on the RHS, with lights at night and security cameras nearby. The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk away. I’ll definitely be back.

I’ve stayed twice lately while attending family events on Coney Island and in Sligo town. It’s well located, good value, very clean, and comfortable, with a perfect continental breakfast. The beds are huge, luxurious, and comfortable too. I was there with my husband, newborn baby, and toddler. When we returned to the Strandhill Lodge, I was delighted to find we’d been upgraded to the Queen Maeve Suite. It was gorgeous and had plenty of space for all of us. We’ll be back!

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, and we’ll be back. We stayed in a twin room last Friday night and felt so welcome, from Emma at Reception to David, who owns the place. They’re genuinely lovely people.
