Ferry House Accommodation

The location and accommodation were excellent, but our stay was overshadowed when the owners' dog was loose and bit my son on the leg. The woman in charge said we were in private accommodation, not the holiday site shown on booking.com, then called us bad parents for letting the kids use the site's children's facilities. There was no internet or phone coverage at all, and she made us feel like all of it was our fault.

A lovely, peaceful place close to New Ross, with a great host. There was even a sauna, which we really enjoyed. Nothing to complain about. Thank you, it was perfect.

The bell tent was well set up and looked after. It was a one-time glamping experience for us, and I'm glad we tried it, though I wouldn't be keen to do it again. The main road nearby was busy, and the traffic noise kept two people in our group awake for most of the night. The shared bathrooms were also a bit of a walk away. The shower was good, but the tiled floor is a serious slipping hazard. A kettle and small fridge would be welcome.

John made our much-needed last-minute overnight break feel really special. He was kind, caring, inclusive, entertaining, and a great listener, with plenty of interesting conversation. The property and grounds are beautiful, and spending time with the two gorgeous ponies was just the therapy my son and I needed. It's a peaceful spot with lots of interesting attractions and tourist sites nearby, close to New Ross and the romantic village of Inistioge, as well as other scenic places. There's also a local pub that apparently serves great food and drink. We'll treasure the visit, especially John, whose care and sensitivity meant a lot to us. Fab, and highly recommended for couples, families, groups, tours, really anyone.
