The problems started when we arrived well after check-in, only to find the cleaner just beginning the job. There was no hot water, and nobody responded during our whole stay, let alone fixed it. Dirty towels were left in the wardrobe, and broken lamps and sockets made the neglect hard to miss. A terrible stay.

The rooms were clean, and the place was nice. Damascus Gate is about a 10-minute walk away, while Jaffa Street takes around 20 minutes.

It looks old and untidy from the outside, but inside it's a new apartment and everything's fine. The furnishings and equipment are nice too. :-)

You can hear more nighttime noise than you'd want, though being right by the locals' everyday life is lovely. The Old City is an easy short walk away, and the apartment has that nice IKEA-style furnishing. I could've used a few more pots and pans, but there's always a falafel stand ;-)

The apartment looks beautiful, but that's the only good part. It was unbelievably dirty, and the bedding smelled bad.
