ibis Jerusalem city Center - An AccorHotels Brand

The Ibis City Center is easy to recommend. There was construction outside, but it didn't disturb us, and the thick windows kept the noise out well. Inside, the hotel felt clean and modern, with a nice lobby and even a small shul. Breakfast was great, Rabbanut or better, and the staff were courteous, professional, and capable.

The location is great, breakfast was pretty good, and the rooms were average. The customer service, though, was terrible from start to finish. I emailed about my arrival the day before and got no answer. At check-in, an unsupervised trainee didn't know how to use the payment system. I waited a long time, then ended up paying one night there and the rest the next day, with no explanation. He complained about the system the whole time, which felt unprofessional. He also put an authorization hold on my card without telling me. I only found out after I got home, and it wasn't gone at checkout. I had an early tour one morning and asked the day before if I could get something to go instead of breakfast. The receptionist refused outright, even though a small gesture would've helped. After I discovered the hold, I called and was cut off before speaking to anyone. Several emails from two addresses got no response. I had to contact the hotel's GM through LinkedIn, and either he didn't understand how authorizations work or he wasn't being truthful with me. He and Accor customer care both ignored my request for any sort of compensation, like Accor points. The hold finally dropped off after more than a month, but only after a lot of stress, uncertainty, and calls to my bank. This was all the fault of ibis Jerusalem City Center. It could be a great hotel with another brand and different staff. Until then, no.

Yossi, Priscilla, Olga, and Anton were excellent ambassadors for Ibis. I left my apple watch behind, and the staff were kind and patient while helping me find it. The beds were comfortable, breakfast was excellent, and you can walk to the old city. This would be my first choice in Israel. Thank you so much.

Good value for what we needed on this trip. The room was very clean and nicely decorated, and breakfast was great. It's a good fit if you're out touring the city and mainly need somewhere to come back and sleep. The old city, market, and some nice places to eat aren't far, and the tram stop is close too.
