The location made it easy to get everywhere, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The shower's hot water was a bit unreliable, but I still had a lovely stay.

The room was clean and tidy, though it felt a little tired. We ate at the Ascot Hotel twice during our three-day stay and really enjoyed the food, which was competitively priced. Breakfast was nice too, though it didn't stay hot for long once we got back to the table. Everyone on staff gave us a lovely welcome.

The hill is worth bearing in mind if mobility is difficult. I stayed the first week of March 2025, and my room was very clean, quaint and super warm. The location was ideal and the food was amazing. The staff were lovely, keeping me company in reception in the evenings over hot chocolate and a chat. They couldn't do enough for me. I'd definitely stay again. Thank you, ladies.
