It’s a comfortable place to stay, though it could use a bit of updating. The hot water is scalding, so be extremely careful. It doesn’t need to be that hot, especially with young children likely to be staying there. I can’t see the point of having to add lots of cold water to make it usable, as that must waste energy. Aside from that, it’s a good place.

The area was nice and the sea view lovely, but we found bed bugs in one of the beds on our second night. We were moved to another apartment, though it still didn’t feel particularly clean. After getting home, I found out I’d contracted scabies after staying there for the weekend. The manager, Dave, refunded half the cost when we reported the bed bugs, but I’m still waiting to hear from him about some kind of compensation after the scabies diagnosis. I wouldn’t stay here again.

We didn’t know about the coin meter for electricity when we stayed in February. The place was freezing when we arrived and clearly hadn’t been heated for a while. It’s poorly insulated, with thin curtains, and we spent a small fortune on electricity during our stay.

The view was the one good thing, spectacular in the evening. The property itself was in very bad shape. The towel was filthy, and the oven was rusted inside and really dirty. The bed was very small. There wasn’t normal water pressure in the shower, either. After paying 358+ pound for two nights, plus electricity, I’m wondering whether they’ll charge me council tax too. I contacted the owner and didn’t even get a sorry. Really shameful. I’ve stayed in many hotels and B&Bs, and this was by far the worst place.
