OYO 30386 Hotel Gloria Inn

The rooms are very old, and there’s hardly anything in them: no cupboard, shampoo, hanger, or even basic items. The Wi-Fi was awful, and each time we wanted the AC or geyser turned on, we had to call staff. They also cleaned our room one day without asking, and the gate shuts at 10 pm. The manager was rude and unwelcoming, and didn’t speak to us properly. I’d tell people not to stay here.

The location is right across from TMC Hospital and Medical College, and booking is easy through the app or website. You can check room photos, prices, and reviews from previous guests, good and bad. The place was neat, clean, hygienic, and well maintained, and the staff treated us well. For an affordable price, it’s a decent place to stay. I’d recommend it.

The bed cover and blankets had yellow patches. The bathrooms looked good, but the flush didn’t work. The AC also switches itself off at 4 am, so whenever you come back into the room you have to ask staff to start it again. Room service is available, though they don’t respond in the evening or at night. Below average.

The hotel was very clean, and Mr Das made us feel at home. He’s a civil engineering degree holder, yet a very down to earth person with a great personality. No surprise that ONGC regularly books the whole hotel for its visiting engineers.
