Fabhotel Orchid

The breakfast was okay, and that's the only good thing I can say about this hotel. There were lots of cockroaches in the rooms and several charging points didn't work. We needed hot water early in the morning, but nobody got up to start the boiler, even though we'd reminded them the night before.

The staff were very supportive, but the hotel's amenities were really bad. The rooms smelled, the light sockets didn't work, there were no toiletries in the bathroom, and the food was average. Only book here if you don't have the budget for a good hotel. Otherwise, don't. Not recommended.

The Orchid Hotel staff made the difference for me. The receptionist was polite, well mannered, welcoming, flexible and understanding. At checkout I couldn't get a taxi or auto because of some problem, and I was already very late for my bus. He understood how urgent it was and did everything he could to get me a cab, which he managed to arrange in time. His effort really touched my heart. Hotels can offer clean rooms and sheets, but hospitality and kindness matter most to a traveler. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

The location isn't great, almost out of the city, and the washrooms were very poorly maintained. Our room wasn't clean when we checked in, and the bedsheets were torn and inadequate. Only two charging slots worked properly, and there was no hot water.
