Hotel Weshtern Park

I was surprised to see some older reviews describing the rooms as poor. I found them clean, the food very good, and the service excellent. The bathroom isn’t very modern, but it has a homely look, with pipe fittings like the ones in a regular house. For the price and the other amenities, I rate this as the best hotel. The breakfast was especially fantastic, and the food was great. We felt right at home during a memorable trip. The room was cosy and clean, with a lovely view, and the staff looked after us with so much care and hospitality. Thank you to the whole team.

The food tasted good, and Jigarthanda is worth trying. I thought the restaurant was a bit pricey for the small portions, though that may be because I’m North Indian. The large Executive Room was what I’d expect from a 3 star hotel.

The worst part was being unable to sleep and leaving at 6 AM, exhausted and disappointed. We paid ₹6,000 for one night, and the stay was nowhere near worth it. The property looks decent outside, but the rooms were in awful shape. In the first room, the bed hadn’t been cleared, the blankets were torn, there were mosquitoes and broken marble, and the small sofa was in terrible condition. The “extra bed” cost 1500 AED, but was just a mattress on a dirty floor. We asked to move. The second room was a little better, but still below basic standards: the cot mattress foam stuck out at the sides, the blankets had holes again, and hygiene was extremely poor. The lock didn’t work either. Staff tried to fix it at midnight, then asked us to move rooms again at 12:30 AM. It seemed the rooms hadn’t been checked for days. There was a strong damp smell and seepage on the walls, and the flush barely worked, so we had to use a bucket. For what we paid, this was absolutely unacceptable. The hotel needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and basic comfort. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
