Hotel Crimson Palace

The reception staff were welcoming and polite, and check-in went smoothly. The location is convenient too. But the room needs a lot of work on maintenance and cleanliness. A strong, damp, musty smell made it hard to feel comfortable. Better housekeeping and ventilation would improve the stay.

Check-in went well, and the receptionist and room service were prompt. But the executive room was below standard, especially the bathroom. Its door seemed swollen or misaligned from moisture, was very hard to open and close, and screeched loudly. The leather chairs and the leather part of the bed frame also had visible yellow stains. What really ruined the stay was finding my car tyre completely flat outside the hotel. It hadn’t been punctured, but all the air was gone, making it look like one. This happened during our stay, and the circumstances felt very suspicious. I can’t prove intent, but the timing and situation made me suspect the luggage staff might have been involved, perhaps in retaliation for not getting a tip. Tampering with a guest’s vehicle, whether intentional or otherwise, is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about staff conduct and security. I’d urge travelers to be cautious if they stay here, or tip the staff generously, I guess. Room comfort problems are one thing, but interference with a guest’s vehicle crosses a line. Not recommended.

The location is perfect, and the breakfast is great. The hotel restaurant’s lunch and dinner menu is even better. The rooms had some issues, but the staff were extremely helpful and absolutely lovely.

I’m a “foreigner,” if you want to put it that way, so my expectations while traveling aren’t that high. Still, this hotel was truly amazing. The staff were so accommodating and helpful, and all of them were ready to go out of their way to solve the little things that help you settle in and feel comfortable. They’re what make The Crimson Palace such a gem.
