Hotel New Bakshi House

Both the owner and the staff were very nice in how they treated us.

Food can be ordered and is available at the hotel. It’s a good, clean mid-budget option, with rooms that were also clean and nice. The people were very pleasant and well mannered. It’s well connected to the main road, and you can get to the railway station or Idgah bus stop in about 10 minutes by car or bike. There’s parking for both cars and bikes.

I had a memorable stay here. It’s away from the crowds and has a homely feel, with large air-conditioned rooms. Every road-facing room has an attached balcony. The food was good and charged at the prevailing price. I’ve recommended the hotel to many of my colleagues and friends.

The power went out for two hours in the middle of the night, and there was no generator. Staff weren’t available at night, so we had to manage on our own and suffered a lot. The bathroom was awful and had no maintenance, the bedsheet was dirty, and everything was untidy. The receptionist behaved terribly. Such a bad experience. I’ll never stay here again, and I wish I could give it zero stars.
