Hotel Prema Palace

I checked in on 12th November 2024, and it was a really bad stay. They told me the Wi-Fi, towel, and TV would be available, but none of them were in the room. I also wanted hot water, which was available. A girl at reception told me the hotel gives rooms while lying to customers. I spoke to her sister, but that wasn’t good either. The things promised at check-in should be provided. She replied, “we does like that always.” I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. The worst part was the noise from the road all night because the windows weren’t maintained properly. I didn’t sleep well. Please don’t book this hotel if you visit Agra to see the Taj Mahal.

We checked into two rooms on the night of 22 November 2024. When I asked at reception about a meal, I was told orders were possible until 11 PM, but another staff member later suggested we get outside food. We couldn’t complete an order after trying, so we went to bed hungry. My brother-in-law’s infant son needed milk, and after several attempts we got one glass at a very high price, 60Rs. In the morning I asked for shampoo and soap, but it took four calls and 20 minutes to get them. There’s no parking and no food at the hotel. The receptionist was chewing gutka and smelled very bad. I suggest people don’t stay here.

We paid in advance, but they still didn’t provide basics like towels or soap. Staff yelled at us even though we were with children and elderly family members. The next day another staff member apologized for what had gone wrong, but the rush meant we couldn’t get a different room. We stayed and paid 5000 Rs for a room that was supposed to cost 4500 Rs, plus our food expenses. At checkout they demanded more, saying the room cost was 5000 Rs. They gave no receipt and insisted on cash, only reluctantly taking part of the payment online. Earlier, we’d been given a leaking family suite, then a room with a foul-smelling bathroom. When we asked to switch rooms, they refused and only brought air freshener at 2 am. The service was horrendous because it was busy that day. This hotel is dishonest and money-minded, with terrible service. I strongly advise against staying here, especially during Agra’s peak period, to avoid the mental torture we went through. They’ll take advantage of your situation.

The rooms were very noisy, the bedding smelled, and the towels they finally brought after repeated requests weren’t usable. There’s no phone in the room, so you have to go to reception for service. My tea took two hours, and water took one. Staff didn’t cooperate and argued when I asked for things. For these services that weren’t available, they charged 4000 rs per room in advance. This is the worst place, and I wouldn’t visit again.
