OYO 33490 Hotel The Orient Tree

The room service person was polite and good, which helped, but there were several problems. The bathroom was dirty, the TV didn’t work, and the door lock was broken, so even after locking it properly, the door opened very easily. They said parking was available, but there was none. I can only give it three stars.

The ginger tea was delicious, and the washrooms were clean with amenities provided. Rooms have the basics covered: comfortable beds, strong WiFi, AC and TV. There are also plenty of charging ports for all your devices.

Oyo moved my booking here even though I hadn’t booked this hotel, and the different name from my reservation could cause a lot of hassle at check-in. The location is good, but choose carefully if you don’t want your Taj visit disrupted. The rooms were clean, yet the TV, geyser and taps didn’t work, and one booked room had a broken bathroom ceiling that looked like it could fall on your head at any time. We had to fill our own water bottles from the downstairs filter. Service was very poor. They don’t seem to care for families, though they show great hospitality to unmarried bachelor couples. If that’s your category, you might visit.

They welcomed us warmly as we walked in looking for rooms, and showed them to us before discussing the price, which impressed me for this part of town. The room was decent and fairly priced, with breakfast included and lunch and dinner options too. The tea was refreshing as well. A good stay for the price.
