One of our group had been injured before we checked in, and the Taj View Hotel staff went out of their way to find crutches and arrange delivery. Palvinder made it his mission to get them there so our group member wouldn’t have to spend the whole trip in a wheelchair. Amazing experience and truly above-and-beyond service.

Mr. Banerjee, the hotel manager, checked in politely and was very attentive. The food and service were excellent, and the hotel has restaurants, bars, a pool, a gym, and a rooftop restaurant. Rooms are modern and tasteful, with contemporary washrooms. It’s an excellent Agra hotel and highly recommended. I only wish I could say the same for Agra itself, which is a very dirty city.

The Sky Restaurant has breathtaking views of the Taj Mahal. I could have sat there for hours taking in that wonder. I’m grateful to the kind receptionist from Calcutta, along with the F&B chefs and managers, for making the stay memorable. Jass at the bar was great company, and the conversation was pleasant and professional. The staff were hospitable and accommodated requests when they could. I felt safe here, and the hotel was calm compared with the Taj Convention centre and other large hotels. There was less wedding noise, and the other guests, both Indians and foreigners, were polite and mostly kept to themselves while exchanging pleasantries. It had the civil, private members club atmosphere I appreciate. A lovely place if peace and security matter to you in Agra.

The hotel’s rooftop view of the Taj Mahal caught my eye while I was looking for a last-minute place on my first trip to Agra. I was skeptical when booking, but the view was exactly as pictured. With a zoom camera, I could take in the monument from a different angle up close, which made the trip especially rewarding. The location is fairly central, around 10 minutes from the Taj Mahal without traffic, and close to the gorgeous Agra Fort, which is also a must see. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and breakfast was pretty good. I loved the room, and the two guard dogs were adorable and friendly. The rooftop is definitely worth a visit for a warm place to see the area. The pool seemed to be under maintenance during our winter visit, though, so we couldn’t relax by the beautiful backyard pool. I’d come back if I’m in the area.
