Zigzag Hostel Agra

The property itself is okay, but the cleaning was awful. My deluxe room wasn’t clean, had spit on the wall and a bad smell, and the toilet WC looked like one in a public restroom. I asked to cancel, and they later showed me a luxury room that was better than the deluxe. The deluxe was the worst room I’ve ever seen.

Ravikant arranged an early check-in, which kept our trip on schedule. The rooms were large, clean, and affordable, and the property is close to the TajMahal.

The staff and owners were excellent and very cooperative. The location is great too, around 500-600 mtrs beyond the Taj Mahal East Gate. The rooms were okay, but the washroom especially needs an upgrade.

We picked this place because it was cheap and among the closest options to the Taj. It’s an easy walk, about two minutes at most. The room was average and moderately clean, just very basic, and I don’t think they serve food, though there are plenty of restaurants nearby. There’s no lift to the upper ground floor. On checkout day, staff kindly let us wait in their small lobby since our train wasn’t leaving for almost four hours.
