Ginger Ahmedabad, Satellite

Zahir bhai made a lovely impression on our family. He arranged fresh muffins for my child, and when I checked them at night, they were still just as fresh as in the morning. He also helped set up an extra bed for her without hesitation and with a genuine smile. The hotel was clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm and polite. Our stay went smoothly, with those thoughtful touches making it feel homey. I'd recommend it for families or anyone after welcoming hospitality in Ahmedabad.

We spent five nights here as a family. We had first booked a Queen Room for my wife and me, but our son later joined us, so we asked for an extra bed and paid for it. The hotel then kindly moved us to a Superior Queen Room without charging extra. The room was spacious, cozy, air-conditioned, and very clean. The bathroom was kept up well, the linen was clean, and towels were changed daily. There was also a mini-fridge, kettle, and mini-safe. They brought an iron when we asked. Breakfast was a vegan buffet with a good range of options. Zaheer, the restaurant manager, made sure we were served warm food from the kitchen. The location is handy, near Iskon and the airport's last BRT stop on Route 15H. Restaurants and shops are close by, with good road links around the city. The adjacent highway goes north to Adalaj and south to Sarkhej. We had an excellent stay at the Ginger.

Housekeeping was very poor. The window in our room was a mess, and the openable center section had gaps all around it with no stopper. Outside noise came through and was really disruptive. I couldn't upload the video, but there's a photo attached. The room was worse than what I'd expect at a Rs.1000/night place. Then at breakfast, I saw a small cockroach run across the dining table. I couldn't believe Ginger Hotels, part of Tata Group, could give us such a pathetic experience.

We stayed for three days, from 2-5 January 2026, and had a very bad experience with uncooperative staff. We asked for simple parathas and were told they weren't on the menu. The towels were frayed at the edges. After dinner, a waiter brought a handwritten pink slip that cut 5% GST and made it 18%. The next morning, the final invoice had a proper signature and stamp and showed no GST. It felt like they were making a fool of us. Please don't choose Ginger.
