For a solo traveller needing a budget place for just 1-2 nights, it’s decent for the price. The room was spacious enough not to feel cramped, and getting checked in took less than two minutes. Gandhigram metro station is a 15-minute walk away. I found 2-3 small cockroaches in the bathroom. Please get pest control done. There was no hot or even warm water, so in winter I had to shower at room temperature. At least it wasn’t ice cold. The receptionist told me to run 2-3 buckets of water, which I did, but it still didn’t get warm.

It’s an old property, but the rooms were clean and the staff were nice. An excellent place to stay.

There were cockroaches all over the room, along with the smell of cockroach spray and pills. The room landline and both the TV and AC remotes didn’t work, so I had to keep going to reception. I absolutely don’t recommend staying here.

The room was tidy and clean, with good amenities, and the staff were kind, well mannered, and provided good service. The price felt middling, neither too expensive nor too cheap. I’m taking off one star because of breakfast.

The location near Gujrat college is a real plus, and there’s a good breakfast joint and a fabulous tea shop nearby. Hotel kanak felt like a mixed bag, though. The hotel food was below par, the service didn’t meet expectations, and the rooms seemed costly compared with the rates. The complimentary breakfast was horrible.
