The main downside for me was the location, right opposite a red light intersection. Traffic noise carries through the day and night, and parking only fits around 4-5 cars, though the reception team helps with parking. We checked in yesterday with family. The family rooms are spacious, and all the facilities worked, including 24*7 hot water. They provided amenities like a kettle, tea, and coffee. The complimentary breakfast was decent vegetarian food, and room service had good options. The biggest plus was the staff, who were nice and quick. Whether we asked for room service or amenities, we got them in under five minutes. Reception was very helpful too. A good budget hotel overall.

Getting around was easy, and Kankaria Lake is especially close if that's where you're headed. I had a really comfortable stay at Hotel Pleasant Lake near Kankaria in Ahmedabad. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Staff were polite, helpful, and responsive, and check-in and checkout went smoothly after a long journey. It's a decent stay at a reasonable price in this area, and I'd consider coming back on my next Ahmedabad visit.

We had dinner there, with some good choices, and it was tasty. The room was nice, service was awesome, and breakfast was nice too. Our family room faced the road towards Kankariya lake, which is only minutes away. Other prominent places are about 15-20 minutes away, another plus. We had an early train, and Mr Naveen kindly arranged tea and snacks at that hour. It was a pleasant stay at Hotel Pleasant Lake, and I'd definitely recommend it.

The staff were the best part, super polite and always ready to help. Our booking ended on 19, with checkout at 10 O' clock, but our train wasn't until 12.30 at night. They let us leave our luggage all day and even stay about two hours in the reception area. We stayed from 16 to 19 Feb. 2026, on my first visit to Ahmedabad, and I'm really happy I picked Hotel Pleasant lake. I was with my 14 years old daughter, so we chose twin beds. The room was a little small but super clean, with hot water any time, a hair dryer, soap, shampoo, hair oil, mimi fridge, safety locker, and towels. Our flight was delayed and we arrived around 11 at night. When we asked about dinner, they were happy to serve us. The food was delicious, and one vegetable order was enough for both of us. Prices were quite reasonable. We ate at the hotel at least once each day and loved the food every time. Breakfast wasn't included, but we had it on our last day. It was very good and cost around Rs.180/- per person, with puri-sabji, fruits, Poha, dhokla, tea/coffee/milk, and Kellogg's. It was a great experience, and I'd recommend the hotel to everyone.

The food from the inhouse restaurant was good. We ordered room service, and both the variety and taste were very good. The hotel is close to Kankaria lake, one of the city's attractions, and all the staff were friendly and helpful, especially Mr. Nevil. Good value for money.
