We ended up paying more than our online booking because it was pouring rain and we had little choice. They offered to lower the price if we cancelled online and paid directly, but even that amount was above what we'd already paid. Then we waited two hours for a room. Towels weren't available because, they said, drying them was difficult. The AC had a separate supply and was switched off to save electricity even though the humidity made us want it on. There was no lift, so we walked down two floors to ask for the AC to be turned on. Anyone given a room on the third floor would have an even harder time. The idli at breakfast the next morning was good enough.

With the beach only a 400-meter walk away, the location gets 4 out of 5 from me. The reception can give you information about nearby places. It's a nice budget stay, with the basic amenities, an AC room, and WiFi.

The owner had offered me a 24-hour stay for 900 rupees, but at reception they demanded 2,000 and turned me away outright. It was early morning, which they said was why the price was reduced. Please don't trust them.

The manager was good and the location was good too, but the rooms weren't. There's no lift, and the food wasn't good. Despite the name, it's not on the seaside.

The rooms felt cramped, with shabby mattresses and pillows. There's no restaurant, and the complimentary breakfast was just idli and sambar. I left disappointed.
