The owner and staff were very friendly and helpful, and the local staff member, Mavshi, made really tasty food. The rooms could use better cleaning and upkeep, though, and the property itself is quite small and not very developed.
A great taste of the Konkan. Mr. Sarvesh Joshi looks after guests personally and makes sure the stay is comfortable.
The garden, location and food are excellent, and Mr. Sarvesh is a very polite, friendly owner. The rooms are nicely designed in a Konkani style, but need a proper clean. There are spider webs in many places. With better cleaning and maintenance, this could be a very good spot for a memorable stay.
Akshi beach is only about a five-minute walk away, and the place works well for a weekend break from Pune or Mumbai. Jaswandi holiday stays has clean, spacious rooms built in traditional cheera brick from the red soil of the kokan region. You can arrange Marathi Kokani food ahead of time, or order as needed, and the service is good. The chef aunty also makes a really refreshing lemonade.
We’ve been to Jaswand holiday around three or four times now, and it’s never let us down. The rooms are clean, the home-style food is tasty, and the fresh fish makes for a cozy, comfortable stay. Thanks!
