Tropicana Resort & Spa Alibaug

There are lots of villas set among landscaped gardens, and the rooms have sliding doors that open straight onto the pool. Khim beach is nearby, as is Chondi Naka. You can get food at the restaurant, and there’s also a bar gazebo and candlelight dinner. These days, though, rooms aren’t available, only 4 bhk villas. It’s a good resort in Alibag, worth visiting once.

This was our second stay at Club Mahindra Tropicana, and the staff made it just as memorable as our first. Kalpesh and Akshay were warm and attentive, and their professionalism made us feel well looked after. The food was another highlight: Chef Rana and Shivani did a great job with the taste, quality, and presentation. Our room was spotless and well kept, and housekeeping responded promptly and courteously. Club Mahindra Tropicana gave us comfort and great hospitality, and we’re looking forward to returning.

I had a great time here. The place is spacious, with convenient personal parking, and I loved all the greenery around me. There were plenty of activities to have fun with.

The restaurant and bar are nice, and the property is large enough for a pleasant walk. It can be a decent choice for families visiting Alibaug, but the high tariff makes the lack of upkeep hard to overlook. The rooms and washrooms seem overdue for an update, even though the prices have kept up. There were water stains on the fittings, showers that only partly worked, and TVs that needed repeated remote presses to respond. The outdoor furniture was dusty and dirty, and I had to keep chasing staff to get things cleaned before I could use them. It didn’t feel like there was much concern about bringing the rooms and washrooms up to current standards. The focus seems to be on resort activities instead of making the stay comfortable, and I felt a basic indifference to guests’ comfort. I’d suggest looking at similar nearby properties.
