West Coast Alibag

We were four friends staying for two nights and three days, and the rooms made it easy to settle in: they were spacious, clean, well kept, and each had a balcony. Housekeeping was quick, and there was plenty of parking. The play area with slides and a jhula also makes it a good option for families with kids. Aayush at reception was especially helpful and courteous, always ready when we needed something. The staff made us feel welcome throughout. We also used the hotel's auto service to and from Mandwa Jetty, which was convenient and hassle-free. Saturday night's live music in the dinner area was a highlight, and the complimentary breakfast on our second day was delicious. It was served well from an à la carte menu, which was a nice surprise. We had a comfortable, enjoyable stay at Hotel West Coast, Nagaon (Alibaug), and found it good value. I'd happily recommend Hotel West Coast, Nagaon for a relaxing Alibaug trip.

A few practical things to know: the pool is 4 ft deep, open from 8 to 8, and there's no separate kids' pool. Bring a float or child life jacket if you're coming with kids, since the hotel doesn't provide them. Swimwear isn't required, but jeans aren't allowed in the pool. The kitchen takes its last order at 9 pm. On weekdays, the trip from Mumbai to Alibag via Atal Setu can be traffic-free, while weekends may mean jams on Alibagh's two-lane roads. The garden makes for a kid-friendly setting, and there's a pool, good breakfast, and tasty food, including good fish and other veg and non-veg options. The chicken tikka I ordered was overcooked, though. One small request for the staff: please make the tea with less sugar. We had to ask for it without sugar after tasting how overly sweet it was.

We came with our child and felt at home thanks to the staff, who were positive and welcoming. The property is beautiful, and the food quality was superb. It's a lovely spot if you want somewhere quiet and comfortable, and we enjoyed the stay enough to want to return. There are a few things that could be better: the property needs some maintenance, the pool didn't have warm water, and the restaurant could use more places to sit outside.

There was room for our family to spend time together, and both the children and adults could enjoy the shared spaces and activities. The hotel felt safe for families while still having a lively, upbeat atmosphere, particularly in the evenings. We had a very enjoyable stay, and it offered a nice mix of comfort and fun.
