Shraddha Hotel

The railway station is close by, which was about the only upside for me. I paid around 1400 rs for one day expecting a much better stay, after seeing positive reviews on Google and Make My Trip. Instead, we were asked for another 600 at check-in, despite having paid our dues when booking. That made for an unpleasant start. The photos shown here are only of the higher-priced rooms. Over our three days, the bathroom was dirty and had no soap or toiletries, so we had to ask reception for soap. The room wasn't mopped, even after I asked twice for service, and the sheets weren't changed. The sheets we found on arrival had cigarette burns. The mattresses sagged from the first night, taps leaked, and the curtains were dirty. There were rats too. No room service, no hygiene. I wouldn't stay here again on a visit to aligarh, and I can't recommend it.
