Van Chhavi Resort

My family left feeling unsafe and mentally distressed, especially the women. Late into the night, guests were drinking openly and using loud, abusive language. It went on until around 2 AM, and even after we alerted staff, nothing firm was done. After I complained, my personal phone number was passed to those same guests without my consent, and they began calling me. That is a serious privacy concern and completely unacceptable. I’m sharing this to alert other families, not out of anger. We did not get the safety, privacy, or peaceful surroundings a resort should provide. Think carefully before bringing your family here.

The rooms come with the basics, including towels, a kettle, tea and coffee, a hair dryer, and dental kits. It’s a comfortable place for families, friends, or parties. One concern is that the drinking and smoking area isn’t separated, which could be an issue.

Food was decent, but I wouldn’t pay Rs 7000 a night again. We stayed for a weekend, and the resort didn’t feel family friendly. Twelve other guests were bachelors, drinking openly on the lawn from evening until midnight, and seemed to take over the whole property. The dance performance was mostly item songs, with people drinking and dancing with the performer. Our room faced the pool. When my family went swimming, the bachelor guests came out, stared at us, and sang loudly. The resort is near Tehla gate, about 60 kms or 1.5 hours from Sariska main gate.

Service was the standout for me, prompt and well organized. Bhagwan, the service incharge, took very good care of us. The food was fantastic too, and the garden was a great place to spend time throughout the day. A wonderful spot for a vacation.
