FabHotel Golden Gate I Amritsar

I was the only guest staying at the hotel. There wasn't anyone else.

We had to find another hotel at 5am, and missed our Golden Temple visit after the owner refused to check us in, despite our advance payment through Agoda app. He wanted more money and told us to cancel the booking and buy a room directly from him at a higher price. When we complained to the Agoda team, he claimed the rooms were full and that we had arrived late. He ruined our trip with this money-minded behavior. I don't know what I can do about it, but surely karma will hit back hard.

We came back for another week in March April, and the place looked like it was improving. On our earlier visit, it was very convenient for our meeting point, and the owners were nice, though not professional. They seemed to lack hotel management experience and enough staff to keep the rooms up to a high standard.

It's clean, but I wasn't happy at all. The guys at reception seem to think it's a community centre, and there is no respect for customers. The hotel needs new staff and workers. It's very noisy, so don't stay here if you want a good night's sleep.
