Please go see this place before paying or booking online. My stay was a terrible experience. The building looked in awful shape inside and out, the room felt very low-grade, and the washroom was extremely dirty. There wasn't even a geyser. I don't understand how people can stay here and then leave misleading reviews. I strongly advise everyone to avoid it.

Staying at Punnu for over a month while I trained in Amritsar made it feel like my second home. The staff were kind and helpful to me as someone new to the city, and the owner responded quickly whenever something needed fixing. My room was spacious, and they kindly let me rent it by the month, almost like a PG. It was also within walking distance of my clinic. There were some problems with water pooling in the washroom, and during winter the walls were damp. I heard Punnu is one of Amritsar's oldest hotels, and while I was there, several wedding receptions took place. I'll always connect it with my time in Amritsar and the memories I made there.

Court Road is a prime spot in the city, and the hotel is about 2 km from the railway station and 2.2 km from swarn mandir. The rooms are big, the in-house food is healthy and hygienic, and the staff are friendly and readily available. It feels like a second home for us in Amritsar. Thanks to Amit ji and the staff for being so welcoming and flexible.
