Helpful staff made a difference, especially with directions and luggage, and the rooms were clean. The location is perfect, only a short walk from the Golden Temple, and it was great value for money in the market area. Highly recommended for budget travelers!

We had a one-night booking, but couldn’t find the hotel at all. We followed Google directions, called the hotel several times, and got no response. There wasn’t an option to cancel, and we ended up on the road. The area shown in the directions is a market and isn’t clean. If you’re travelling with family, please don’t book here, as you may not be able to find the hotel.

The main difficulty was getting there, along a narrow, dirty lane. Still, we had a safe and wonderful stay with my family. The rooms were good and the bathroom spacious for this budget guest house. Mr Daniel, the caretaker, provided very good service.

Madan residency works well as a family homestay, just a few minutes from golden temple. Rickshaws are easy to find. Denial, the caretaker, was helpful and nice.

Getting to the location isn’t very convenient. For the price, though, it’s fine for a one-day stay, but I wouldn’t stay longer.
