The owner, Satu Naik, was the problem from the start. He was rude and arrogant, and some hotel staff seemed irritated with him too. He refused our online booking, saying the price was too low for December near the 31st. We accepted that and agreed on a room with a double bed and no AC for 3k per night, but he wouldn't take advance payment. That felt fishy at the time, though I wrongly assumed the smell was just because he was a South Indian guy. We were staying at another hotel the first night. When we came back to check in the next day, he acted as if he didn't know us and said the same room now cost 5k per night. After about an hour of talking, we managed to get the 3k rate. But the room he gave us was small, stuffy, dirty and awful, with just one bed. When we asked to change rooms, he ignored us. After two hours of pointless discussion, we chose to leave. We got only 4k of the 6k paid for two nights back, and only after a lot of arguing. I felt he disliked people from the north, west and east. It was my worst experience so far. I wouldn't recommend staying here or even going to their cafe or bar.
