Basho Huts and Cafe

The staff at Basho Cottages were incredibly kind and funny, always smiling, and the service was excellent. These cute little beach huts make for a wonderful, relaxing getaway, right on the sand. Direct beach access is only a minute away. I had a simply wonderful stay and highly recommend it!

We stayed for three nights, and the food was great. The location was great too, and the staff were nice and helpful. They even helped recharge our tourist SIM cards and book a taxi. Service on the beach loungers was good. The room itself was fine, but cleanliness was the one downside. They hadn't cleared the previous guests' toilet paper from the bathroom and had forgotten the towels. We asked, and they sorted it out for us. Thanks for having us!

The resort sits right on the beach, and they can set up dinner there for you. The huts are roomy and kept in good shape, and the restaurant offers plenty of good food. Staff pay close attention to what you need, and the owner is polite and helpful about making your visit special. I found it through Google and was glad I went while in North Goa. Say hello to the four friendly paws, too.

Basho became a home away from home during the month I spent there on Arambol Beach. I first arrived by myself, but Ashwin Bhai and Prem Bhai made me feel as though I was staying with friends. The rooms were comfortable and well cared for, and the food was some of the best I tried in Goa. My family came to join me later and also loved the warm welcome and service. It was a memorable stay, and I hope to return.
