Palm Grove Beach Resort

The beach turned out to be very crowded and isn't private, which was disappointing at this price. The social media posts had given us a very different impression. I also found the hospitality below expectations for what we paid. Breakfast doesn't begin until after 8 AM, and although I told them ahead of time that I had a flight, they couldn't serve it even 10-15 minutes earlier. Luxury should include some flexibility and attentive service. Our booking through Agoda didn't clearly explain that Palm Grove and Little Palm are separate properties. We reserved two rooms together expecting them to be in the same place, but they were at different locations with other properties between them. That felt misleading, especially for families or groups booking together. For the price, I think Goa has better 5-star resorts with stronger service, clearer booking details, and better value. Sharing this so families and groups can make an informed choice. Again, there is no private beach, and it was quite crowded.

We started off in a room where leaking AC left our belongings damp. After the resort moved us, things improved a lot. They welcomed us with coconut water, which was a lovely start, and the beach is just steps away. We enjoyed the sunrises and sunsets, plus excellent breakfast and cocktails. Having those under the palapas while stretched out on beach loungers made it even better.

We booked a chalet, and the comfortable bedding and nice rooms made the stay enjoyable. The place is quiet, with a peaceful, green feel, and it's a great location near Ashwem beach. It's expensive, though. The beachside seating and cafe were highlights, with amazing food and fantastic drinks. The staff understood our red-eye flight situation and prepared our room for an early check-in since it was available. A good choice if you're not looking for a budget stay or 5-star hospitality at this price.

Palm Grove Resort has a laid-back feel and is set up beautifully. I keep returning because the food and service are reliably good. My usual hummus comes with marinated olives, and I always ask for more because they're so good. The seafood pesto salad is my favourite, and they do calamari well too. I'd gladly recommend it.
