Ginger Guwahati, Aerocity

The main thing that needs attention is pest control. We saw small cockroaches, possibly in nearly every room. Aside from that, the rooms were compact but cozy, and the food at breakfast, lunch, and dinner was delicious. The dining team, especially Biswa and Fardeen, were very helpful. We stayed at Ginger Guwahati from 23rd November to 28th November 2025. The reception staff were polite and cooperative. Ms. Sabnam was especially helpful and professional, and helped us pick a better plan. Her convincing manner persuaded us to stay even though there is a dump yard near the hotel. Housekeeping was friendly and well trained too. Smt. Padumi Sharma cleaned our room well and changed the sheets and pillow covers every day. The staff were very well behaved, and there was good parking. Rooms were okay, and the food prices were reasonable, but the food itself, whether breakfast or dinner, wasn't good in taste or quality. There were too many mosquitoes, noise from construction outside, and several power cuts. The road outside was in terrible condition. I had to book through my company portal and had no other choice, but I'd look at other options if you can. The staff seemed to try hard to deal with the problems, though there were too many shortcomings. Not a good hotel, avoid it.

After check-in at Ginger Guwahati, I found the room full of mosquitoes and couldn't stay in it for even a few minutes. I told the staff right away, but they didn't offer an effective fix. Their response felt casual, as though this was normal. I had to find another hotel myself, which caused stress, inconvenience, and financial loss. For a branded hotel like Ginger, I expected at least a clean, safe room without mosquitoes. This experience fell far short of basic expectations. The conditions suggest poor hygiene and no effective pest control, which raises health concerns, including dengue and malaria. I strongly do NOT recommend this hotel. It isn't worth the money and doesn't meet even minimum hospitality standards.

The location is tucked away, with no market access nearby, and it's hard to spot even in broad daylight. The market is roughly 2-3 kms away. Food was good and the stay decent, with a well known brand name, but the room quality and key access need improvement.
