Hotel Atithi

For the price, this is a very good place to stay. The restaurant is split across four areas, a bar, an indoor section, and two rooftops, one set up like a cabin. They even provided a cradle for a young couple's baby. The pool area is very large, the rooms are roomy enough, and the service was very good. It's in a good spot right on Jalna road.

We stayed three nights, and a return visit seems very unlikely. The room wasn't clean at check-in. I asked twice for it to be cleaned, but that was missed. The chairs had torn covers, the toilet wouldn't flush, so I had to use a bucket of water, and the LCD TV wasn't in good condition. The room-cleaning staff were rude, and kept trying to take our luggage into the lobby. The pool was well maintained, though there seemed to be construction going on and there was dust around it. Food wasn't available after 11pm. At check-in, the front desk staff were good, but they were rude at checkout. Checkout was at 12, and we'd asked during check-in if we could leave at 1pm because our vehicle would be late. They refused and made us wait in the lobby with all our luggage, saying they wanted to let out the room to someone else, even though nobody was there to check in.

It's in a good location, but the hotel needs renovation. The room was large, though hygiene let it down: it was dusty, the bedding had stains, the toilet didn't work, and there were exposed cables.

The rooftop restaurant draws a crowd for its nice ambience and tasty food. Hotel Atithi also has another hall for functions and celebrations, alongside two training halls. We ran two batches at once, with separate food arrangements, and everything went smoothly. The training setup was good, with good food and refreshments served on time. I was part of a recent training group there for ASHAs, many of whom come from rural areas. The fourth photo shows a few of them enjoying a memorable moment by the pool. I was surprised to find the hotel equally welcoming to people from all walks of life. That lack of discrimination is a wonderful quality. The staff were professional, cooperative, and helpful to all guests. There's spacious, safe parking in the basement, though the incline up to the road is steep. They've installed a mirror to help with visibility.
