Hotel Great Punjab

We had a lovely one-night family stay at Great Panjab, Sambhajinagar. The railway station is within walking distance, and the hotel is in a prime spot. Rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the washrooms were clean. The food was tasty, and everyone we dealt with at reception, in the restaurant and through room service was friendly and cooperative. A great stay, and I'd recommend it.

The room was spacious, with an extra bed available for kids in the AC room, and it was close to the railway station. The washroom had been cleaned properly and had no smell. For a budget AC room, it was decent, though the morning hot water wasn't very hot and noise carried through the room. They allow early check-in at 6 AM on a 24-hour basis, so checkout is 6 AM the next day. I was willing to pay extra until 8 AM because my child takes time to get ready, but the manager insisted on 6. After a heated argument, he extended it to 7:30 AM. I appreciated the extra hour and a half, but the experience was bad overall. Right after checkout I used the shared washroom and found it in a horrible state. When I told the desk manager, he said it was provided free. One tip: if the hotel arranges your car, check whether it's old or new and comfortable before taking it, and bring mosquito repellent.

Mr Sadiq, the hotel manager, was especially friendly and helpful. He arranged all our transportation at a reasonable price and accommodated our requests, which made the stay really pleasant. The family restaurant on the premises served great food. The accommodation was decent and budget friendly, and management was great. Both managers, Sadique and Bheemrao, were cooperative and polite. We'd highly recommend choosing this hotel to friends and family. -Sushil Kumar
