Hotel Balaji Palace Ayodhya

I paid the full amount in advance through Goibibo for a two-day stay, relying on the app photos, but the actual hotel was completely different and disappointing. The cleanliness, maintenance, and general environment were far below what I expected, and it wasn’t suitable for my family. I left within 30 minutes of checking in and had to book somewhere else for their comfort and safety. I strongly wouldn’t recommend the place. Don’t rely only on the pictures online.

Ayodhya is spotless and beautiful, which made the contrast with this place even more striking. If dirt had a luxury stay, this would be it. The mess is quite a masterpiece, and the confidence with which cleanliness gets ignored is impressive. Thanks for making me appreciate the city even more.

I stayed here with two senior citizens in my family, and it was a very bad experience. The rooms weren’t clean, the toilet was always wet, and none of the listed services were provided. The only good thing was that the staff were polite to talk to.

This was my worst OYO experience, and I wouldn’t recommend booking this homestay. It’s a home converted into small rooms, not a hotel. The rooms were very dirty, hygiene wasn’t maintained, and there was gutkha and tambakhoo spit and rats everywhere in the room. You have to buy drinking water, and there are no nearby restaurants because it’s in a remote location with a dirty area and small roads. There’s no connection with outer areas, so you need a prebooked auto, and you won’t get Ola or Uber. OYO should remove this hotel or homestay from its listing to protect its brand image.
