Siyaram kunj Hotel

Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Hanuman gadi, Dashrath mahal, Kanak bhawan, and Sita Rasoi are all within a one kilometre walk, which makes it a good place to stay. Reaching it can be difficult because it’s in the temple area and there are many police barricades. The guest house arranged to pick us up from a nearby point that vehicles can reach.

The staff were very helpful. When I couldn’t find an auto, they carried my luggage to the main road so I could get transport there. The hotel doesn’t serve food, and good dining options are nearly a kilometre away. Its approach road is narrow, and autos, e-rickshaws, and cabs can be hard to find, especially early in the morning or late in the evening. For temple access, the entrance for people with a VIP pass is just 200 meters away, while the regular queue gate is about 1 km away. Hanumangarhi, Kanak Bhavan, and Dasrath Mahal are within 1 km, and Saryu Ghat is around 2.5 km away.

The hotel is well placed for pilgrims, with Ram Lalla Temple, Dasarath Bhavan, Kanak Bhavan Temple, and Hanuman Gharhi all within walking distance. Since cabs can’t enter the area, staff arranged pickups from the next street. Reception was always available and helpful, and the team went out of their way to make things smooth. My room was clean and very nice, with a large bathroom and a heater. I was thoroughly impressed with Siyaram Kunj Hotel and highly recommend it for its location, clean rooms, and excellent service.

The room was okay, with two double beds but barely enough space to walk around. We stayed for 2 nights. The bathroom was large, though its tap was broken. The location near the temple can be a real drawback because barricades are set up in every direction. After a tiring day, we were dropped 400-500 meters away, since autos can’t reach the hotel. My mom has PSP and couldn’t walk that distance. The hotel has its own e-rickshaw, but they refused all my requests to take her to the barricade, even when I offered to pay. They said it was only for luggage pickup and drop off. The staff showed no interest in helping, even when I asked at reception, and their lack of empathy was very disappointing. To me, hospitality means accommodating guests as much as possible. Here, it felt like “not my circus, not my monkey.” I’d rate the stay 2.5/5. The location is both the hotel’s biggest advantage and its biggest drawback.
