We paid 5K per day for a two-day family stay, but the facilities felt like a big zero. The rooms were old, showed signs of damp, and could get severely cold at night, which was a problem for my elderly parents. Cars can’t reach this place, which is set well inside, and when we asked for help carrying some luggage up the stairs as we left, no one came. The exterior may look impressive, but the room shown in their business WhatsApp seemed to be an edited version of the actual one. I don’t recommend staying here, especially with so many other hotels around. In reply, the owner hasn’t been willing to accept what happened. We never tried to negotiate the charges over WhatsApp. We were ready to pay, but expected good service. As the owner of an Ashram, they shouldn’t mislead people with edited images. My review is honest, and I have no hatred toward the people there. People make a Tirthyatara only once, and nobody is paying me to write something negative. The truth is what it is. Please accept it, fix what you can, and stop sending edited pictures to make money.

The staff’s warmth stood out, and the food was limited but felt homely. The property may not have the atmosphere of a grand hotel, but being just 200 metre from the Badrinath temple made it easy to come back and rest after darshan. I never imagined staying so close.

The manager was nice and helpful, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. It’s a small, clean place with a western-style toilet, hot running water, and an extra low cot. The shrine is only a stone’s throw away. Just be aware the gates are shut from 11pm to 5am.

All the facilities were available, and staying in this ashram near Baba Badrinath was a wonderful experience.

The building is an old wooden structure that suits the surroundings, and the rooms have been renovated well, with geysers and western toilets. The food was very good, and reception was fine too. It’s very close to the temple, and I’d choose to stay here again when I visit.
