GKS Residency by Oyo

My check-in was at noon, but I arrived at 10:30 after travelling all night. Even though the lobby was empty, they wouldn't let me wait there unless I paid 250 extra. The room was on the third floor, the lift didn't work, and nobody helped with my luggage, so I carried it up the stairs myself. The AC was out, and the bedsheets had semen stains. When I complained, they said they were washed and the stains couldn't be removed. A disgusting experience. Please never stay here.

Some guests find the basic comforts okay, and the rooms affordable for a short budget trip. The staff are friendly, and the central location is good. Still, reviews mention cleanliness and maintenance problems, so it may suit a short stay if you need a budget room.

I booked through the gobibo app, and they still wouldn't give me a room, even though they had my name on their phone. They claimed the booking number had changed. Based on what happened, this feels like the most fraudulent hotel. Nobody should book here. 🥵🥵🥵

I booked through MMT for a few hours of sleep, a shower, and somewhere to charge my phone. I wasn’t asking for a pool or spa, just basic respect and a towel. Instead, when I checked out at 7:00 AM, I found that other guests had towels and I hadn’t been given one. It felt like I wasn’t considered a guest because I booked through an app. I arrived around 12:30 AM after booking at 11:45 PM. The staff member took my ID, checked his phone, and put me on the 4th floor, while the elevator in the building was deliberately switched off. Before that, he questioned why I had used MakeMyTrip (MMT), suggesting I was “cheap” for getting a 10% discount. He said the hotel didn’t get timely payments from MMT, and, according to other Google reviews, OYO and Agoda too. He told me to cancel the booking and pay him the “actual cost” in cash or GPay. The room was awful. The door lock didn’t work properly, the bed and linens were stained and unclean, there was no bath mat, and the toilet had no lid or seat. The bathroom window had no glass, so people in the neighboring building could see in. This was the worst experience I’ve had. The staff treated me like a beggar, and I’m giving one star only because zero isn’t an option. Neither the hotel nor the booking apps seem to care about customers. If the hotel really has payment issues with the apps, that’s between them and the business. Customers shouldn’t be dragged into it or insulted. Why do MMT, OYO, and Agoda keep listing places with so many negative reviews?
