Hotel Golden Gates

The staff were polite and helpful, but the hotel badly needs cleaning. Wi-Fi never worked, hot water was available only from 7 to 9 AM, and breakfast was extremely limited and basic. We got a single set dosa. The towels need replacing too. I stayed one night, and for the price I think better hotels are available. I'd suggest booking somewhere else.

We only needed somewhere cozy to sleep for a few days, and this place suited that. It was reasonably priced, the rooms were clean, and service was decent. Breakfast isn't a buffet, but they ask what you'd prefer from that day's menu. After a disastrous stay at Hotel Trishala Residency in Basavanagudi, this felt like a real relief.

I had a bad experience here and have filed a complaint. The receptionist didn't know any language apart from Kannada. They wouldn't accept an online reservation, and said they couldn't give me a room after I'd booked online. The managing director was fraudulent and stupid. Don't book here and put yourself through what I did.

I arrived around midnight for my booking, only to find they'd given my room to someone else. The night receptionist had no idea how to handle it. After wasting an hour at the desk, I gave up and went to another hotel. A very bad experience.
