Hotel Shanti Nivas by OYO Rooms

The washroom was so dirty I could barely look at it. When I asked for it to be cleaned, they refused and said I should have checked before checking in. They also charged me 30% extra to stay, then made me leave at 10:00 AM even though my checkout was at noon. I wasn't given any facilities, not even drinking water. The staff were extremely rude. Any time I complained, they started shouting and others would join in as if they wanted a fight. One of the worst experiences of my life. I'd rather sleep on a footpath than stay here.

The room linen was quite dirty, and when I asked for a change they said that was the only linen they had. At the desk, the person calling himself the property manager spoke arrogantly. I had booked through the Oyo app and wanted to pay there, but he insisted I could stay only if I paid at the property. I've booked through Oyo for a long time and usually pay in the app, so this was a shock. I felt ashamed of Oyo Rooms after this. I left thinking I'd continue my stay through Treebo or Fab Hotels instead. I've never had an experience like it.

My friend left after just one night, even though the booking was for two. He'd come to town for an exam, but the room was dirty and smelled bad, and the corridor felt unsafe and shady. The AC didn't work despite the AC room booking. When he asked about it, staff gave some excuse about COVID and BBMP. The towels and sheets were stained, though thankfully he'd brought a spare. Even the tea and snacks he had were awful. Service was very poor, with no hospitality. I'd give zero stars if I could. Avoid this place.

The toilet flush didn't work, and there was no cleanliness at all. One of the worst stays I've had. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
