Hotel Shelton Suites by OYO Rooms

They charged me extra, and the hotel staff behaved very badly 😞 Please don't go.

The room was a mess, with no TV, WiFi, soap, shampoo, or towel. The curtains were dusty and stained, the pillows and blankets were dirty, and the floors were greasy. I had to clean some of it myself. There wasn't even drinking water, so I bought some from a nearby store. The WiFi was working, but the rest was a very poor setup. I'm utterly disappointed. I arrived to check in around 2:30 pm after booking and paying everything through #OYO. The front desk asked what I'd paid, so I showed my booking ID. Then he demanded extra money, saying the rooms were fully booked, and wouldn't let me in unless I paid. I told him he should honor the price I'd booked at. He replied, “So you book rooms often and know a lot about it! You can cancel and book another hotel!” I took that personally. Customer care wasn't helpful when I tried to reach them, and the desk person just told me to keep trying. With the choices of paying extra or cancelling without a refund, I paid. Next morning, when I went out for food, he told me checkout was at 10:30am. I said I knew checkout was at 11:00 am, but he insisted 10:30am was what they did. I didn't argue and went about my work. A disgusting, very bad hotel. They even charged extra for the room booking. Never go here.

The owner demanded 2k more than the price I'd booked through booking.com. The contact details shown for this property in the booking.com app were wrong. When I called app support to report it, their team tried to call the owner to check, but he didn't answer. We had few options, so in the end we paid and stayed. In the ground floor room, the bathroom door was broken. The owner said to adjust to it instead of fixing it or changing our room.
