OYO 10335 Platinum Hotel

The room and restroom were full of mosquitoes, and the towels and linen were very dirty. There was an old building smell in the rooms, and the lift never worked, so we had to carry heavy luggage up two or three floors. Breakfast was poor, the WiFi was never fast, and there was no hot water. Reception staff member Surivender was very rude and unhelpful.

The building stank as soon as I walked in, and both receptionists I met were rude. When I asked about early check-in, they made me wait from 5:30 to 8:30 a.m. even though a room was available. The receptionist told me, “Pay 500 rs or wait until 12 p.m., it's up to you.” I was charged 500 rs, more than 30% of OYO's early check-in policy, but the bill showed only 250 rs as the charge, so there was no proper bill. I stayed in room 208. There was no bucket in the bathroom, and the shower and tap were broken, so I took showers at my office during the stay. The lift kept stopping between the first and second floors, there was no hot water, and the restroom was dirty. The breakfast was decent. OYO customer care was no help and seemed out of sync with the hotel management. I escalated the issue and more than four tickets were created on July 13 and 14, 2019. This felt like a total rip-off. I'd advise staying elsewhere, as there are a few alternatives within 2 km.

The road noise and some machine running on the terrace made it hard to sleep at night. The lift didn't work, there was no hot water, and the AC was out of order. Breakfast was cold and tasteless, and bad enough to give you diarrhea. They also charge extra for water, with only one litre free each day. This place wasn't very good.

Idlis were really soft, and the coffee was good. The place is clean enough to enjoy a meal, and the food quality and preparation are generally good. Still, it's an average vegetarian joint and a little pricey compared with nearby places. South Indian dishes are its strong point. I wouldn't order North Indian or Chinese food again: my Hot & Sour Soup and paav bhaji were horrible. Bisibela bath and Medu Wada with kesari bath were average, as were the tea. There's an AC dining area upstairs, but the kitchen is shared even though prices vary a lot. The silverware there doesn't justify paying more. Not worth a second visit.
