OYO 4797 Lulu Hospitality

I stay here when I visit Bangalore to go to Apostle Dr. Rambabu s church, which is very close by. The staff are courteous and friendly, especially Ramshad, and the service is prompt. The rooms are always clean, and they make the stay quite good.

Each suite has a kitchen, hall, two bedrooms that sleep two each, and two clean, up-to-standard bathrooms. There’s also a fridge, sofa, AC, fans, and hot water. The breakfasts were tasty, and the staff are friendly. Room cleaning could happen on time more consistently, but it’s still a wonderful, quiet place with fresh clean air, away from the main traffic, and good value for money.

I booked through OYO, but at the hotel they said my reservation wasn’t showing in their system. Even after I showed it, they wouldn’t let us in. The customer service was awful, and they acted as if customers were getting rooms for free, with a cocky attitude about bookings. The receptionist made us wait, then said they couldn’t give us a room because we’d arrived by car and there was no parking, even though the listing said parking was available. My guests waited over 45 minutes. When I asked who owned the property, the receptionist said he did, but I don’t think that excuses treating a customer that way. There was also construction opposite, with lots of noise and dust. OYO customer care eventually found another property, but it was 7 km away, so we had to travel there to get rooms for my guests. A horrible experience. I’d tell people to avoid this place completely. They need to learn basic customer service or stop running a hotel.

We had a horrible time at OYO 4797 Lulu Hospitality. I’d booked two classic rooms for my guests for May 18, 2019, with a noon check-in, but because of a get-together at our house, I called to say we’d arrive around 4 pm. At the hotel, the receptionist asked whether we had valid ID cards, then told me to pay before showing the rooms. I asked to see them first because I wasn’t sure they’d actually be available. We waited more than 15 minutes, asked again, and were told to keep waiting while a room boy was called over. When I asked what was happening and whether the rooms were available, the receptionist got angry and said they couldn’t give us rooms. We asked why they were operating OYO rooms if they couldn’t accommodate us. He said we’d come by car and they couldn’t provide parking, despite the listing saying parking was available. We responded to him the way he’d responded to us. He said he was the owner, but that doesn’t make it acceptable to treat customers like that. My guests were left waiting for over 45 minutes. There was construction opposite the property too, causing noise and dust. We complained to OYO customer care, who found us a different property 7 km away, so we had to travel there with our guests. I wouldn’t recommend this place even in an emergency.
