The location is great, with popular places like A2B and Ambur star biryani an easy walk away. This seems more suited to someone staying alone than to families. There isn't even a small restaurant in the hotel, so you have to go out for everything, even tea or coffee.
I booked for two nights, but realized OYO had put me in the wrong place and checked out a night early without getting a refund. It was a bad deal. The room had no hygiene at all and the washroom was dirty. DTH wasn't working, there was no geyser or hot water, and soap and towels were supplied only if I asked. I wouldn't recommend it for families.
The restaurants at this hotel are all superb, and the service is top class. It has a charming imperial-era style. Guests can also use the hotel's fleet of cars, with knowledgeable drivers available to call at any time, day or night.
The building is old, but the room was very clean and had no bed bugs. I still had to give it only two stars, mainly for the cleanliness. The toilet exhaust from the next room blows into yours, bringing in the smell of your neighbor's food from the previous day. My neighbor was a heavy smoker, so my toilet was practically unusable. My daughter and I both vomited a couple of times. Hi Exotica, please vent the exhaust outside instead of into the adjoining room.
