Oyo 74574 The Purple Orchid

I had a terrible stay, though I can't say whether the COVID situation had anything to do with it. The hotel was very hard to find, reached by awful roads, and the elevators weren't working. Our room smelled and wasn't clean. We asked to move, but there wasn't another room available. The sheets looked used, and the replacement sheets they brought looked the same. The AC also didn't work properly. I hope things improve there in the future.

The rooms were filthy and the staff were rude. I also saw several people arguing with the owner while I was there. Booking through OYO felt like a waste: they wouldn't let OYO guests stay and charged double, according to my experience. I don't know how this hotel got permission or a license to operate. The positive OYO reviews seem fake to me. Avoid the listing and book somewhere else on Agoda.

The service was good, but the room itself wasn't in proper condition. Beds and blankets didn't seem clean, the bathroom door had no lock, and the TV wasn't working. Hygiene throughout the place was poor, and the building is dark much of the time. There aren't any good restaurants nearby either.

The place is fairly remote, which might suit someone who wants to stay away from the busy areas. For a single night, it could work for bachelors or couples, but I wouldn't recommend it to families. The stay was below average: there was no table or shelf, and locking the bathroom was difficult. For the same price, I think you can find a better stay.
